Synapse Deck
Not another chatbot window. A physical interface to text and AI: Raspberry Pi, three input modes, agent keys and n8n workflows.
Hardware foundations
Raspberry Pi 400, 500 and 500+ are hardware directions from the original concept. Compatibility, build configuration and software features need prototype validation.
Raspberry Pi 400
Compact interface foundation
- Keyboard and compute in one enclosure
- A text engine and explicit actions
- Designing the HID input path
- Agent hotkeys and n8n workflows
Raspberry Pi 500
Extended compute foundation
- A keyboard as a standalone interface
- More room for agent workflows
- Context and local processing require testing
- Configuration through a local panel
Raspberry Pi 500+
A direction for demanding workflows
- Exploring an extended configuration
- Modular software architecture
- Privacy and access boundaries
- Build configuration not finalised
Architectural directions, not purchasable product packages.
Three cognitive input modes
Three original design scenarios: suggestions while typing, processing completed text and research into private input.
01 · Predictive Flow
Suggestions while typing. Offer a continuation without leaving the working window. Tab accepts, Esc rejects. Behaviour and latency need prototype testing.
- Drafts, email and messaging
- Explicit acceptance of suggestions
- No fixed-latency promise
02 · Post-Process
Write first, transform later. Pass selected text to grammar, tone, translation or summarisation actions. A hotkey returns the result to the working flow.
- Documents, code and editing
- An explicit choice of action
- Model and external service are workflow settings
03 · PGP Stealth
Research into private input. A separate direction for sensitive text and cryptographic transmission. Protection against keyloggers or observation is not established.
- Threat-model research
- Keys and permissions need design
- Not a released security product
The modes should complement each other: draft → refine → transmit. Switching and hotkeys are part of the intended interface.
Agent keys & workflows
Ten base text actions, configurable agents, optional voice and n8n workflows. The full interface composition comes from the original project.
Voice control
A headset is an optional channel. The concept describes agents, binds hotkeys and creates workflows by voice. Recognition and execution need validation.
"Create agent that rewrites text in Shakespearean style"
"Bind Ctrl+Shift+K to Shakespeare agent"
"Create workflow: translate to Spanish, send via Telegram"
Default Hotkey Agents (Ctrl+Shift+Key)
Grammar Fix +G
Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation while retaining the author’s voice.
Formalize +F
Transform text into a professional register.
Casualize +C
Make formal writing conversational.
Translate +T
Translate a selection to the chosen language.
Expand +E
Expand short notes into connected text.
Summarize +S
Extract the main points from a longer text.
Code Explain +X
Explain a code snippet in plain language.
Social Post +R
Prepare a draft for a social post.
Quick Reply +Q
Draft a reply using the incoming message as context.
Bullets +B
Turn paragraphs into structured bullets.
n8n Automation Engine
Workflows triggered by F5–F12 and optional voice. n8n makes the sequence explicit: process text, translate, save or prepare a message. External actions require permissions and confirmation.
"Create F8 workflow: Summarize selected text, translate to Russian, post to Telegram channel DevNotes"
Interface modules
Development directions from the original concept, not a specification for a shipped build.
Dual-Link HID™
Explore wired and Bluetooth HID input paths. Compatibility, switching and latency require measurement.
Web Dashboard
A local panel for agent, hotkey and workflow configuration and system state.
Multi-Language Sync
Coordinate layout, text language and target workflow. Supported languages are established by tests.
LED Feedback System
LED indicators for input, processing and connection state without a separate display.
Privacy Bluetooth
Research Bluetooth identity and privacy boundaries. Anti-tracking protection is not established.
Modular Architecture
Separate input, text, workflow, configuration and observability modules. Error recovery needs validation.
