Computational research

Project Open Gate

Research into hidden computational constraints using synthetic worlds, controlled interventions, holdouts and negative controls.

Reproducible experimental protocols · Python / C11 / SQLite / Frozen protocols

The product problem

Test whether a signal survives alternative explanations instead of turning a high score into a claim about reality.

Stage

Active V6/V7 research lines. Earlier branches closed after artifacts were identified; their results are not repackaged as success.

Testing a signal against alternative explanations

An illustrative intended journey, not a demonstration of the current live release.

  1. Freeze the protocol, parameters and synthetic-world provenance.
  2. Compare an active intervention with a matched passive baseline.
  3. Retain evidence, holdouts and negative controls.
  4. Check whether the signal survives alternative explanations and artifacts.

System components

  • C11 kernels and Python pipelines: world generation, interventions, analysis and protocols.
  • V6: active response-operator experiments against matched passive baselines.
  • V7: lattice-hypothesis engine and synthetic-control calibration.
  • SQLite evidence, protocol hashes, reports and closed-branch archives.

Architecture & ownership

Protocols freeze parameters and source provenance; pipelines retain evidence and control results. Research versions have different entry points and are not interchangeable.

How can a synthetic response-operator signal remain distinct from an observational discovery about reality?

What to validate before use

Not proof that reality is simulated. A synthetic response signature and an engine check are not observational discovery.
